De Wereldvrede is an independent production company founded by director Gilles Coulier and actor Gilles De Schryver in 2013. Positioned as the Home of Creators, it puts Belgium's finest writing and directing talent up front, from the Prix Europa-winning Albatros to the 2024 Ensor sweep of Holy Rosita and Julie Keeps Quiet, Belgium's official Oscar entry that year.
As De Wereldvrede looked to grow beyond Flanders, toward international streamers, foreign broadcasters and Belgian distributors alike, it needed a visual identity that could speak to all of them at once, without softening the tone the company built its name on.
We found the answer in the name itself. "De Wereldvrede" translates to "world peace," so we built the logomark from its literal parts: wereld becomes a globe, vrede becomes a peace sign, merged into a single form. Shaped into a badge, it honours the Home of Creators platform, a mark of quality the writers and directors behind each project can wear with pride. Hand-drawn graphic elements, drawn by the creators, run through the identity as a personal signal, putting the people behind the platform directly into its visual language.
